Installing Curtains for Your Bay Windows

Installing bay windows in a room can give it an unusual look. Hanging curtains in a room will add more décor and privacy to the room. Before proceeding with this, one will need to install curtain rods that will match with the existing window style. No matter whether the bay window is a curve shape, big size or so on, there will not be much hassle in installing these curtain rods.

Firstly, measure the size of the bay window with a measuring tape. Ensure that the measurement process is done in a straight line while parallel to the floor. The measurement should start two inches above the window frame. Secondly, if the windows are shorter, add four inches to the measurement taken earlier on and add ten inches for windows that are larger in size. This will take into account of the overhang of the rods that will be needed for each window.

Also, when purchasing the curtain rods, be sure that the curtain rods will suit the room décor and the curtain patterns. For example, a curved window should go with a matching curved curtain rod that is designed especially for these types of window styles. Next, measure the rods starting from two inches above the window before installing the curtain rods. Put a mark on the spot of the two inches measured above and two inches on each side of the window too. After that, take the brackets and drill on screw them in these spots. These brackets will assist to hold the weight of the curtain rods.

Then, proceed to hang the curtains on the rods. If your curtain is the type where the curtain top has to go through the rod, you will have to put the curtain on the curtain rod before proceed to installing them in the brackets.

Last but not least, fasten the rods to the brackets. The curtains will sit on the rod holders. The brackets will have holes in them for you to hold the rod into. What Not to Pack for a Move

Instead of doing this, make sure that you would be using up all the food that you have in your refrigerator by making meals with them or by giving them to friends or neighbors.

Corrosive, Flammable or Explosive Items and Substances

These would include fertilizers, pesticides, gasoline, ammonia, propane, marches, paints and liquid bleach. Make sure that you would not be packing any of these as they can are dangerous to transport. Instead of packing them, you might want to consider giving them away to a neighbor who needs them or disposing of them properly.
